Giusti was runner up for the Stories category of the World Press Photo 2010 for this sequence of images - '.Sapologie'. The project embodies the style of a Third World Satorialist. Giusti has documented some of the more eccentric locals of Congo-Brazzaville. The project goes beyond fashion and borders on an anthropological documentary with its focus on the mimicking of 'western' style. The style appears rather to be an amalgalm of both 'western' and the local Congolese take on sartorial fashion. What underlies this is a narrative on the aspirations of the indigenous local elites.

Philippe Dudouit
This is one photograph from a series by Swiss photographer Philippe Dudouit. The series documents the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party), which has been designated as a terrorist organisation by the European Union, United States and Turkey. This image is part of a set, but it is actually extremely powerful by itself. I'm not usually a great fan of single image photography, but strangely I quite like this one by itself. Although I have to admit that the rest of the body of work is pretty strong too. Dudouit provides a useful insight into life on the inside of such an organisation and displays it from a very different perspective to that which we commonly see. The subjects remain human. He has a very simple and classic style. His composition is uncomplicated and the images themselves remain uncluttered. The subject is always clear...
